Abdul Iqbal QC leading Khadim Al’Hassan represented Gareth Leach who has been acquitted of the offence of murder in an outburst of fatal violence related to the theft of property.
In a 5-week trial at Bradford Crown Court before the Recorder of Bradford (HHJ Mansell QC), the prosecution alleged that Alex Bates, Rashpal Singh Gill and Mohammed Jawaid Khan had attacked Paul Ackroyd who was later found dead outside Khan’s home address at Jinnah Court.
The FA National Serious Case Panel deals with disciplinary issues arising from improper conduct and discrimination issues nationally.
The appointment means that Abdul Iqbal QC now sits as Chairperson with other Panel members as a Disciplinary Commission to hear and rule upon allegations brought by County Football Associations nationally in relation to alleged breaches of FA Disciplinary Regulations.
