Following a 5 day trial at Leeds Crown Court both defendants were acquitted, the jury having accepted their defence under S45 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
The defendant, Dylan Cranfield, was convicted of murdering his friend, Seb Mitchell, after an argument at a house party in February this year.
