Abdul Iqbal QC and Soheil Khan secure not guilty verdict in multi-handed murder trial.

Abdul Iqbal QC leading Soheil Khan represented one of six defendants charged with murder and attempted murder arising from large-scale public disorder in Bradford city centre.

The trial lasted several weeks before the Recorder of Bradford, HHJ Mansell QC.

Their client, one of the youngest of the defendants was found not guilty of murder and guilty of the lesser offence of unlawful act manslaughter.

He was also acquitted of attempted murder and section 18 wounding and convicted of the lesser offence of unlawful wounding.

The evidence included a huge amount of evidence including complex CCTV footage.

The case, which involved allegations of knife-crime and detailed consideration of “Jogee” joint enterprise liability, received considerable media interest and coverage.
