Abdul Iqbal QC secures acquittal in gang-related conspiracy to murder

Abdul Iqbal QC has secured the acquittal after trial of DI who was alleged to have masterminded a revenge shooting to eliminate rival drug dealers. The defendant supposedly hired a hitman from West Yorkshire who shot the victim in the face at point blank range.

The defence successfully challenged each strand of the circumstantial evidence before Mr. Justice Bryan at Preston Crown Court during a three week trial leading to a unanimous acquittal.
