Caroline Wigin appointed to the Circuit Bench

We are delighted to announce that Caroline Wigin has been appointed as a Circuit Judge.

The announcement was made public today on the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary website.

Caroline Wigin was called to the Bar in 1984 and she started her 35 year career at the Bar as a pupil to Robert Smith QC at Park Court Chambers. She was made a tenant there in 1985 before moving to Number 6 in 2014.

Caroline has had an incredibly successful practice in Criminal and Family Law.

In 1999 she was appointed to sit in the First Tier of the Appeals Tribunal and was made a Recorder in 2004.

PSQB will be sorry to lose Caroline Wigin from its ranks – she has been a very popular member of Chambers but her appointment is thoroughly deserved and we wish her every success.

HHJ Wigin will sit on the South Eastern Circuit at St Albans Crown Court with effect from 11 March 2019.
