Charles Prest speaking at the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health

Charles Prest, head of the family team at Park Square Barristers, is delivering a series of lectures for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH). These are being delivered at its annual ‘Child Protection: From Examination to Court’ course in London, which is being attended by Lord Justice McFarlane. Tickets were sold out some time ago.

Charles is delivering modules on consent, family law and ‘into the courtroom’, as well as facilitating a mock trial as a witness-training workshop. He will be appearing alongside a detective inspector, the RCPCH child protection officer, and consultant child and adolescent psychiatrists from Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The course, taking place 9-10 March 2015, covers wide-ranging issues including neglect, fabricated and induced illnesses, emotional abuse, and attachment. It also explores the multi-agency process from both a police and social-work perspective. The course will be attended by paediatric trainees, SAS doctors and consultant paediatricians.

Charles Prest has also recently agreed to write a third edition of his book “Family Law Case Library: Children” which will be published by Jordans Family Law in May/June 2015.
