Called to the Bar in 1990, Her Honour Judge Marson has been assigned to the North Eastern Circuit, based at the Family Hearing Centre, Sheffield, with effect from 16 April 2015.

Appointed as a Recorder in 2008, Denise continued to combine sitting as a part-time judge with undertaking some of the most complex children-law cases involving sexual abuse and non-accidental injuries.

Both heads of chambers at Park Square Barristers, Richard Wright QC and Andrew Lewis QC, said:

“Denise contributed greatly to the continuing success of Sovereign Chambers and now Park Square Barristers, both as head of the family team and head of pupillage. She has always been a very popular and highly regarded member of chambers and we wish her every success in her judicial career.

“This is the second judicial appointment at the new Park Square Barristers, occurring within one month of the merger between No6 and Sovereign Chambers. It demonstrates how highly regarded and widely respected our members are. Denise’s appointment is thoroughly deserved.”
