Driver who filmed 3 year old dancing as she drove car spared custody – Taryn Turner defends

KW made a mobile ‘phone recording of the boy (who was not properly restrained in the car) as she drove through a residential area in Scarborough to the sounds of ‘Everybody’s Free’ by Rozalla. The video was played in Court. KW could be heard encouraging the boy to ‘show us your moves’ as he bopped his head and kicked his legs.

KW pleaded guilty ahead of trial. She was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment suspended for twelve months, and ordered to undertake 20 rehabilitation days. She was additionally disqualified from driving for a period of 12 months and must take and pass an extended driving test before taking to the roads again.
