Gill Batts Secures Unanimous Manslaughter Acquittal
Park Square BarristersGill Batts secures the unanimous acquittal of a 17 year old defendant charged with manslaughter following a 5 day trial at Leeds crown court.
The case concerned an incident which took place on 1st October 2017 in Huddersfield town centre. The defendant was 16 years old at the time and was alleged to have punched the deceased in retaliation for an attack on his 15 year old friend. The deceased sustained serious fatal head injuries.
