Judy Dawson appointed District Judge at Harrogate County Court

Park Square Barristers are pleased to announce that The Queen has appointed Judy Elizabeth Dawson to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Harrogate County Court with effect from 1 November 2021.

The Courts and Tribunals Judiciary made the official announcement today.

Judy  was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1993 and joined Sovereign Chambers in 2005.  She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019 and as a Recorder in 2020.

Over the last 20 years in practice Judy  developed a very busy practice in Personal Injury, Civil Fraud, Commercial and Chancery. She has made a great contribution to the success of the civil team at PSQB and we would like to take this opportunity to thank her for  her contribution and to wish her every success in her new role.
