PSQB involved in Case of Quad Bike Death Crash

Kama Melly QC and Katherine Robinson prosecuted for a case involving the death of four people whose quad bike was hit by a car travelling at 140mph.

Prosecutor Kama Melly QC, widely recognised as one of the foremost female advocates in the North East, told the jury that a witness said ‘the scene was something like out of the film The Fast and the Furious’.

Twelve people were jailed; with two admitting to causing death by dangerous driving and the remaining ten individuals sentenced for encouragement in the lead up to multiple deaths.

Allan Armbrister and Anthony Kelbrick successfully acquitted their clients, clearing them of encouraging dangerous driving.
