Kama Melly QC Prosecutes Builder who Strangled Ex-wife to Death.

Kama Melly QC was instructed by the CPS to prosecute Adrian Rodi following the killing of his ex-wife Angela Rider.

Rodi had pleaded guilty to manslaughter through diminished responsibility and was jailed for life with a minimum term of nine years – he will serve his sentence in a secure hospital.

At the sentence hearing on Monday, Kama Melly QC told the Court that Rodi had a long history of controlling behaviour and had attacked Ms Rider on three previous occasions.

In a victim impact statement following the sentence, Angela Rider’s mother thanked all the Police officers involved in the investigation and she also thanked Kama Melly QC “who was wonderful”
