52-year-old Wayne Thornton had originally admitted the manslaughter of 79-year-old John Uttley, though denied murder. Thornton changed his plea on day four of his trial at Leeds Crown Court.
Wayne Thornton was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 22 years.
