Karen Lennon represents children in High Court case

D v E (Termination of Parental Responsibility) [2021] EWFC 37

Miss Karen Lennon represented the children in a High Court case before MacDonald J where he was considering the termination of parental responsibility of a father who had been convicted of sex offences against a non-subject child.

The court was also invited to consider a specific issue order for a change of surname to remove the father’s surname, a no contact child arrangements order terminating all contact and a section 91(14) order.

Interestingly MacDonald J considered that the guidance in PD12J was not only applicable to cases involving domestic abuse but will apply,  in proceedings relating to a child arrangements order, to all allegations of harm to the child or the parent relevant to the question of contact or evidence indicating such harm or risk of harm.”
