Khadim Al’Hassan successfully defends a practicing nurse

Khadim Al’Hassan, a Serious Crime, Fraud and Regulatory Barrister, represented a nurse who had been practicing for over 20 years at the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council regulates nurses and midwives in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.  They also set standards of education, training, conduct and performance so that nurses and midwives can deliver high quality healthcare throughout their careers.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council makes sure that nurses and midwives keep their skills and knowledge up to date and uphold  professional standards and investigate nurses and midwives who fall short of the professional standards.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council  were seeking a suspension/conditions placed upon this nurse.

Mr. Khadim Al’Hassan successfully argued that the nurse should not be suspended or any conditions placed on her registration and allowed to continue to work.  The nurse had previously been suspended for other matters.
