Kirsten Mercer involved in Health and Safety case in which a company were fined for breach of section 2 Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

Kirsten Mercer has appeared in a health and safety case in which a company were fined for a breach of section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 for failing to manage the risks associated with the use of vibrating tools.

The case considered expert reports dealing with the method of calculating whether the EAV or ELV had been exceeded and dealing with the risks of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and the likelihood of harm occurring.

Kirsten Mercer became a member of the Specialist Regulatory Advocate panel in 2019.
