Park Square Barristers recognised as ‘Leading Set’ in The Legal 500

Park Square Barristers has been recognised as a ‘leading regional set’ in The Legal 500 2016, which released this year’s rankings yesterday. The Legal 500 is an independent guide to law firms, which are recommended purely on merit. PSQB’s Set Overview describes:

“The ‘brilliant’ Park Square Barristers, ‘one of the largest sets on the North Eastern circuit’, was created in 2015 via the merger of two established sets in Leeds: crime set No 6 Chambers, and civil and family set Sovereign Chambers. The ‘superset’ houses a broad range of expertise, with 120 barristers covering an array of criminal and regulatory, and family work. On the crime side, the set includes several CPS grade 4 prosecutors and RASSO panel members. The family team is also highly regarded. The set had two silk appointments in 2016; Kama Melly QC and Charles Prest QC, who was then appointed as a district judge in March 2016. Over the past year, numerous barristers have also joined from New Park Court Chambers and other local sets. Senior managing clerk Richard Sadler leads a team that is ‘efficient, friendly and proactive’. Office in: Leeds”

Many of our Counsel received personal recommendations within this year’s edition, with 6 QCs being listed in the “Leading silks” list and 25 barristers being listed in the “Leading juniors” list.  The Legal 500 2016’s guide to outstanding silks and juniors nationwide.
