Nadim Bashir involved in 8 week Court martial case

Nadim Bashir was Leading Junior defending Lt Colonel Bell at Bulford Military Court Centre.

The defendant was charged with “negligently performing a duty” in relation to a live fire exercise that killed a 21 year old soldier.

The lead defendant was charged with causing gross negligence manslaughter.

The Court Martial heard expert evidence against 3 defendants during an 8 week trial that has attracted national media attention.

Nadim Bashir is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve. He is also a prosecution officer for the Service Prosecuting Authority (SPA) enabling him to prosecute members of the British Armed Forces anywhere in the world. He also defends in Court Martial cases and he is also the Legal Advisor to the UK Reserve Forces Association.
