Oliver Saxby QC & Michael Collins defend in Manchester Shooting case

Oliver Saxby QC and Michael Collins represented David Andrew Jeffers at Manchester Crown Court last week.

The defendant was charged with the attempted murder of a woman in a hotel in Stockport.

Although she survived, the 46-year-old sustained serious abdominal injuries after being shot.

The defence focused on lack of intent and accident which resulted in the attempt murder count being dropped and the defendant pleading to possessing a firearm with intent

Michael Collins, led by Oliver Saxby QC, were instructed by Sugare and Co, Leeds.
