Craig Hassall K.C. represents family at inquest with Open Conclusion.

The inquest touching the death of Rina Yasutake was held at Northallerton Coroners Court before the senior coroner for North Yorkshire Mr. Jon Heath.

Mr Hassall K.C. appeared on behalf of the family at the inquest having represented the deceased’s brother in the criminal proceedings in 2021. The trial was halted by the Recorder of York His Honour Judge Morris who ruled that the charges of prevention of lawful and decent burial of a dead body without lawful excuse should remain on file stating that the defendants suffered from an extremely rare mental affliction which led to them believing that Rina was still alive.

The Coroner did not establish a cause of death recorded an open conclusion.
