Paedophile given life sentence after convincing authorities he was no longer a threat – Michael Collins prosecutes
Park Square BarristersThe defendant, Kevin Thistlewood, was found guilty of the rape and 12 other serious sex offences of a child.
He has appeared in court three times in total for child sex offences. Despite being regularly assessed; he was able to commit his latest offence by convincing authorities he was no longer a threat to children.
Thistlewood has been given a minimum 16-year sentence following the trial at Leeds Crown Court.
