Conclusion of unlawful killing reached at second inquest into the death of Yousef Makki
A Coroner has today found that Yousef Makki was unlawfully killed. Yousef, aged 17, was fatally stabbed in Hale Barnes on 2 March 2019. The perpetrator was acquitted at criminal trial and an earlier inquest reached an open conclusion, before being quashed on an application for judicial review.
Matthew Stanbury appeared for the family led by Pete Weatherby KC and instructed by Sarah Finney of Watson Woodhouse solicitors.
