Unanimous conviction for 28 counts of rape & other sexual offences

Kama Melly, a barrister at Park Square Barristers, has successfully prosecuted Martin Hostler for 28 offences of rape and other sexual offences.

Mr Hostler was convicted by a unanimous jury decision after a 12-day trial at Bradford Crown Court. The court heard from 5 victims who had been abused by the defendant when they were children, between 1994 and 2007.

The defendant was sentenced to an ‘extended sentence’, having found to be dangerous by HHJ Burn. He was sentenced to 16 years’ imprisonment, with a 5-year extended licence.
