Regulatory Team Zoom Panel Discussion Event A Great Success.

Thanks to all those who attended our Regulatory and Public law team’s panel discussion last night.

Chris Moran chaired the discussion and addressed questions from the audience to the panel. We are delighted to have had over 75 participants with members of the audience from across the country from London to Hartlepool and from Liverpool to Humberside.

The event was conducted via zoom and discussed remote hearings and how they are being used in a number of jurisdictions and practice areas. The discussion included all aspects of both telephone and online remote hearings (including the Cloud Video Platform being trialed in Leeds).

The discussion centered on how these hearings are being conducted, lessons to be learned from them and how the future of court proceedings may be changed due to the current pandemic.

The panel included Head of Chambers and Leader of the North Eastern Circuit Richard Wright QC Head or the , Craig HassallJames Hargan, Kirsten Mercer, James WilsonKate Bissett and Simon Connolly.

The success of the event shows that there are exciting new possibilities arising out of these difficult times. The team were delighted to be able to welcome participants from across the country and look forward to continuing to host such events throughout the coming year.

If there are any particular topics that you would like the team to cover and include in future events please do not hesitate to contact our Senior Regulatory and Public Law clerk Madeleine Gray at  madeleine@psqb.co.uk
