Richard Wright QC elected Leader of the North Eastern Circuit

Head of Chambers Richard Wright QC will be the new Leader of the North Eastern Circuit from the 1 January 2020.

Mr Wright QC will take over from Nigel Sangster QC.

The position of Leader of Circuit is for a three year term and follows an election from members of the North Eastern Circuit who hold the rank of Queens Counsel.

Their primary duty is to represent the interests of Circuit Members. They also promote the functions of Circuit, represent Circuit at Bar Council meetings and chair Executive Committee meetings.

Richard Wright QC will be the first Leader of Circuit from Park Square Barristers since the late Stephen Williamson QC who held that position in the 1990’s.
