Rukhshanda Hussain speaks to BBC News about Crown Court Trials backlog

Rukhshanda Hussain appeared on last night’s Ten o’clock news and this morning’s BBC Breakfast to discuss the backlog of trials in the Criminal Courts.

There are currently 58,000 cases awaiting trial. This was initially caused by funding related delays but made worse by the COVID 19 pandemic.
