Sex offender jailed for 12 years – Kitty Colley prosecuted, Matthew Harding and Mike Greenhalgh defended

The defendant, Richard Chappell was found guilty of attempting to arrange a child sex offence and inciting child exploitation. His partner, Cherie Scott, was also jailed for sex offences.

Chappell was found guilty on 11 counts of attempting to arrange the commission of a child sex offence and five counts of inciting child exploitation.

Scott was jailed for 3 years and 9 months, she was found guilty of the sexual assault of a child and admitted to one count of creating indecent images and one count of distributing indecent images.

Both were given indeterminate Sexual Harm Prevention Orders after their sentencing at Leeds Crown Court.
