Simon Anderson secures a £450K settlement for warehouse operative in Personal Injury case

Simon Anderson secures a £450K settlement for a warehouse operative injured when a forklift truck struck a stack of timber doors, causing them to fall on top of him.

The claimant began work with the defendant as a warehouse operative in 1999 when aged 21. He worked in the goods in department and was responsible for unloading products from pallets using a forklift truck.

In April 2016 he suffered a serious accident at work when while drawing the curtains on the side of a trailer a forklift truck driver accidentally knocked a load of heavy doors with his forks on his truck. These fell on to the claimant who was crushed on his left hand side. It took him two years to return to work part-time. His employer was exemplary in ensuring that he was cared for and remained on full-pay.

Past losses and PSLA were agreed at £150,000. The total agreed award was £450,000.
