Simon Batiste appointed to the Circuit Bench

We are delighted to announce that The Queen has appointed Simon Batiste, aged 44, to be a Circuit Judge.

His Honour Judge Batiste was called to the Bar in 1995 and was appointed as a Fee-Paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2006 and as a Recorder in 2012.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern circuit, based at Newcastle Crown Court with effect from 12 March 2018.
