Simon Connolly represents Local Authority in inquest proceedings.

Simon Connolly represented a Local Authority in connection with the death of an elderly, vulnerable person. The Authority faced assertions of delay and mismanagement of the deceased’s assessment and needs in accordance with statutory duties arising under the Care Act 2014.

The Coroner was satisfied that the criticisms of the Authority were unjustified. He returned a neutral, narrative conclusion reflecting the circumstances of the deceased’s death. The Coroner was also satisfied that no PFD considerations arose.

Simon’s broad-based healthcare practice encompasses health and social care. Simon has a wealth of experience in representing practitioners and service providers in inquest proceedings. Simon is the Head of PSQB’s Healthcare Regulatory Team.
