Success at corporate “Netball in the City” tournament

Well done to Park Square Barristers on coming third in this weekend’s corporate “Netball in the City” mixed netball tournament.

The day got off to a good start with an easy victory against Loop. Our secret weapon, Tom-Nothing-But-Net-Stanway was popping goals in left, right and centre. With Emily-Here-If-You-Need-Reed in Wing Attack, Anna-Self-Appointed-Captain-Wilkinson at Centre and Chris-The-Fox-In-The-Box Boxall in Goal Keeper the team began to gel.

Ready at a moments notice to come on when Andrea-The-Destroyer-Parnham lost her contact lens was Stuart-Couldn’t-Catch-A-Cold-Young!

The cheer squad of Christoper-The-Water-Boy-Ferguson, Matthew-Performance-Director-Smith, Fan Chris Moran and the Mini Panhams were let down by our loss to Morrisons in game two.

Onwards and upwards we went with Kate-The-Wonder-Wilson supporting play in Wing Attack and Caroline-Safe-Hands-Shields in Goal Defence, securing wins against the next 4 teams including Walker Morris and Ernst and Young.

Unfortunately with tired legs and weary limbs, the Environment Agency got the better of us in our final game.

Overall a great day, with bronze medals to show for it. A lovely first sporting venture for Park Square Barristers.
