Having successfully completed her pupillage with Park Square Barristers under the supervision of Michael Morley and William Lindsay, Anna is accepting instructions across a broad range of criminal and family matters.

Anna frequently prosecutes on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service and has secured successful convictions in cases of sexual assault, violent assault, dishonesty, and road traffic offences. Anna also appeared in the Crown Court in relation to both prosecution and defence work. Anna has received positive feedback from both solicitors and clients on her professionalism, ability to think on her feet and eye for detail in preparing a case.

Anna is also developing a strong defence practice, owing to her ability to build a rapport with clients and robustly advise on serious and sensitive matters. Anna has defended clients with ongoing mental health concerns in serious cases involving the commission of psychiatric reports, and has also defended in cases involving violent assaults, offensive weapons, harassment, and road traffic offences. Anna recently secured an absolute discharge following a successful special reasons argument and also assisted defendants in achieving favourable outcomes in cases of exceptional hardship. Anna’s particular interest is in cases involving serious sexual offences. In her first six she shadowed on several cases involving allegations of non-recent sexual abuse, including one case concerning twenty-one complainants and complex legal arguments.

Anna looks forward to continuing to develop a successful criminal practice.

Having successfully completed her pupillage with Park Square Barristers under the supervision of Michael Morley and William Lindsay, Anna is accepting instructions across a broad range of criminal and family matters.

Anna has welcomed instructions in both private and public law proceedings, often representing parents in relationships involving domestic abuse, dealing with sensitive allegations of harm and even being commended for her detailed case preparation and ability to put clients at ease. Anna understands how certain cases can be very stressful or emotive for clients, meaning she excels in acting considerately and pragmatically in such pressured situations. This measured approach was honed whilst volunteering with IPSEA; a charity providing advice to families of children with special educational needs.

In recent months, Anna successfully represented a client in an appeal surrounding the necessity of a fact-finding hearing in a case concerning serious allegations of domestic abuse. Anna has received positive feedback from members of the judiciary, clients and solicitors, and has been particularly commended for her effective cross-examination skills.

Anna is welcoming instructions in care proceedings, and prides herself on thorough case preparation. Anna has been instructed to represent parents and grandparents in public law proceedings and, in her second six, was instructed to represent grandparents on a multiple day final hearing.

Academically, Anna has consistently demonstrated a diligent work ethic, having achieved a Distinction in the MA Law course and Outstanding in the BPTC. As further recognition for her achievements, Anna was awarded the Buchanan Prize by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Anna recently authored an article about the Divorce, Dissolution, and Separation Act 2020.

Anna is also an experienced public speaker. Throughout the Bar Course, Anna was awarded Outstanding in numerous advocacy modules and, outside of academia, reached the final of several mooting competitions.

Anna looks forward to continuing to develop a robust family practice.
