Abdul Iqbal QC secures not guilty verdicts in gun violence trial
Park Square BarristersAbdul Iqbal QC has secured not guilty verdicts for Said Djama after a 3 week trial before the Recorder of Bradford.
Djama was alleged to have travelled from Sheffield to Newcastle and been involved in the multiple discharge of a firearm through the letterbox of a house and then in the street in order to intimidate locals.
The trial involved detailed assessment of the movements of Djama and his two co-acccused (Jamal Barrat and Mohammed Nassir), assessment of wide-ranging scientific evidence, extensive legal argument, and presentation of cut-throat defences.
The jury acquitted Djama on all counts and convicted the co-accused on all counts.
