BBC Look North – Kama Melly QC interviewed about backlog of Court cases

PSQB Deputy Head of Chambers, Kama Melly QC appeared on BBC Look North today to comment on the increased backlog of cases in the court system as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In Yorkshire alone the number of outstanding cases has increased by a third.

Kama Melly QC told BBC Look North “will we see all of those victims and all of those witnesses come forwards and give their evidence when we are dealing with cases that are months if not genuinely years after the event”
