Esther Bukoye Prosecutes Robber at Bradford Crown Court

The Defendant was unanimously convicted on 30th January 2024 after a 4-day jury trial.

The Defendant assaulted the victim which caused her to sustain significant injuries to her body and head. In doing so, the Defendant also stole £100, a mobile phone, and a purse.

Ms Bukoye represented the Crown at both the trial and the sentence hearing on 18th March 2024.

On 18th March 2024, Ms Bukoye made several submissions to the Court and read out a statement from the victim outlining the severe impact of the offence.

After hearing submissions from both the Crown and Defence, the Court sentenced the Defendant to 5-years custody.
