Howard Shaw Secures Conviction of Two Brothers for Halifax Hammer Attack

Howard Shaw has secured the conviction at Bradford Crown Court of two brothers in Halifax for Causing Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent arising out of a planned attack involving the repeated use of a hammer.

The two men had laid in wait for their victim and attacked him as he arrived home late at night.  They then chased him through nearby streets.  A third unidentified man tried to block the victim’s path as he fled by driving a car into his path.  When caught, the victim was repeatedly struck about the head and body with the hammer causing multiple fractures and a head wound.

They were convicted following a week’s trial and sentenced to 10-years imprisonment and 9-years imprisonment.
