Janine Wolstenholme and Matthew Stanbury sworn in as Recorders

Janine Wolstenholme and Matthew Stanbury have today been appointed officially sworn in as Recorders on the North Eastern Circuit. The ceremony was conducted by Mr. Justice Poole at Leeds Crown Court.

The King signed the Royal Warrant for them to take up their appointments as a Recorders with effect from Tuesday 30^th May 2023.

Miss Wolstenholme will sit as a Criminal Recorder on the North Eastern Circuit and Mr. Stanbury will sit as a Civil Recorder in the North Eastern Circuit .

Janine is joint head of the Inquest and Inquiries team and also sits as an Assistant Coroner for Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen and West Yorkshire (Eastern). Matthew also sits as an Assistant Coroner for  South Yorkshire (East).

Chambers is delighted  at these appointments which are richly deserved and are great personal achievements.
