Life term for son who killed dad with cricket bat – Richard Wright QC and Matthew Harding prosecute – Peter Moulson QC defends,

The defendant, Phillip Badwal, pleaded guilty to murder at his trial and was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years at Bradford Crown Court.

He beat his father to death with a cricket bat and a metal dog bowl in November 2020.

Badwal was a drug addict and had repeatedly threatened his father to pay off his drug debts before the attack.
