Park Square Barristers are hosting a panel event in Leeds to discuss recent legal developments in the Court of Protection and raise awareness of the current issues and debates in the field. We hope to cover a variety of topics relevant to CoP practitioners, including balancing the privacy of P and open justice in the Court of Protection and changes to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

The event is a chance to connect various CoP practitioners, academics and members of the judiciary, broadening the expertise and interconnectivity of the Northern and North Eastern CoP Bar.

The panel will be chaired by the head of our Court of Protection team, Caroline Shields and will be made up of leading individuals across CoP legal practice and research, including Mr. Justice Hayden, Vice President of the Court of Protection and Celia Kitzinger, co-founder of the Open Justice Court of Protection Project.
