Richard Woolfall appointed to the Circuit Bench

We are delighted to announce that Richard Woolfall has been appointed a Circuit Judge.

The official announcement came through today from the Courts & Tribunals Judiciary Department.

“The King has appointed Richard Woolfall to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Grimsby Crown Court with effect from 18 September 2023.

Richard Woolfall will be known as His Honour Judge Woolfall. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1992. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2008”
