Sheffield child murders – guilty plea – Kama Melly QC and Kate Batty prosecute

A mother has admitted the murder of her two teenage sons at Sheffield Crown Court today.

Sarah Barrass admitted two counts of murder and a further charge of conspiracy to murder.

Another family member, Brandon Machin, also pleaded guilty to murder.

Kama Melly QC leading Kate Batty were instructed to prosecute the case.

Sentence has been adjourned to 12 November.
