Simon Anderson settles bullying and harassment case against Police

Simon Anderson has settled a bullying and harassment claim against the Commissioner of the Police of the Metropolis for £150,000.

His client was a young female sergeant who was the eighth person in her family to serve in the Met. Unfortunately, her station contained several senior male officers who abused their power. Their actions left her psychologically broken. She gave evidence that led to their dismissal but was left too unwell to continue serving, and found it necessary to resign from policing altogether in order for her mental health to recover.

Simon is highly regarded for his ability in claims relating to discrimination, victimisation, bullying and harassment. A complementary background in personal injury law also enables him to offer comprehensive practical and tactical advice in the specialist field of occupational stress.

He is experienced in managing lengthy multi-party tribunal hearings featuring complex issues of fact and law, conflicting expert medical evidence, high-value schedules of loss, and jurisdictional points.
