Teenager detained for murder of 14 year old Gateshead boy – Mark McKone KC prosecutes

Leighton Amies was convicted of murdering Tomasz Oleszak back in April and today he was detained for at least 12 years, and once released he will be on licence for the rest of his life.

Tomasz Oleszak was stabbed in the chest on 3 October.

Mark McKone KC prosecuted the case for the Crown Prosecution Service.
