Richard Paige completed degrees in physiological sciences and medical law before undertaking a pupillage specialising in intellectual property and information technology law at 3 Raymond Buildings (now Hogarth Chambers) in London.
Besides receiving training in cases involving patents, trademarks, design rights, copyright and passing-off, Richard developed experience in cases involving franchise law, media law and breach of directors’ duties. He continues to accept instructions in cases involving copyright infringement and passing-off.
Since moving to Leeds in 2001, Richard’s practice has expanded to include general contractual and commercial disputes with a wide range of issues and values, boundary and neighbour disputes, breach of building contracts, debt actions, negligent advice and misstatements and interpleader actions. He has significant experience in cases involving allegations of negligent or malicious employment and university references.
Richard accepts instructions in all areas of professional negligence, including solicitor, accountant and surveyor negligence.
Richard may accept Public Access work, where he can be instructed directly by a member of the public rather than a solicitor.
