Howard Shaw secures conviction for Conspiracy to cause Explosions

Howard Shaw has successfully prosecuted the third member of a gang involved in blowing open ATM cash machines. This followed a spate of attacks on ATM machines earlier this year in which oxygen and acetylene gases were pumped into cash machines and ignited using a home-made electrical match ignition system. They travelled to and from the attacks in a stolen car specifically kitted-out with all the necessary equipment and were arrested following a high-speed police pursuit in the York area. The convictions follow a week-long trial at York Crown Court. Two other defendants previously pleaded guilty and all three await sentence.
