Katherine Robinson and Eleanor Durdy deliver “Communication in Court” workshop in the Maldives

The EU Project ‘Justice Sector Reform and Anti-Corruption in the Republic of Maldives’ delivered a workshop to members of the Maldives Bar on ‘Communication in Court’ on 24th and 25th August 2022 in Malé, Maldives.

To be a successful advocate one has to be an effective communicator. This course was designed to teach advocates how to become effective communicators, enhance both verbal and non-verbal skills and to realise their full potential as professional advocates.

The training was delivered by Katherine Robinson, who has prosecuted and defended in all areas of criminal law, including terrorism, serious violence and sexual cases, multi defendant conspiracies and homicide. Eleanor Durdy, who completed pupillage under Katherine last year, also assisted with delivering the session.

The workshop was part of a comprehensive program funded by the European Union and delivered by EU experts to institutions and legal practitioners in Maldives
